This is a carrier class product large teleco including GSM, Long Distance, WLL, CDMA and Local Loop Operators. Advanced Mediation server receives all types of usage data (Voice, Data, SMS, Content, Video etc)  from all kind of network elements (TDM switches, NGN Switches, gateways etc), process it according to the rules defined by user and distribute processed data to destination. Destination can be any type, like text, binary, excel, application, RDBMS etc.

Mediation is very critical process in whole network of a telecom operator. it is most important step in revenue calculation.

Following figure illustrates working of Advanced Mediation Server:

Advanced Mediation Server has 3 major components:

• Collector
• Processor
• Distributor

Collector receives/collects all types of usage data from network elements. Collector can have multiple Nodes. Every Node can configured with different usage data source. By this it supports multi-vendor sources.

Processor process data according to rules defined by operator. it supports,

• Filtration of Data according to customized filters
• Remove Duplication according to rules
• Modify Data according to rules

Distributor supports redundant source information for usage data. Source can be different like text files, Excel files, CSV file, Binary file, RDBMS etc. Distributor can also send data to another application like billing system.
